Before loading check stock

Preview the check at full size and confirm that all fields are visible. Verify the selected template format matches the stock in your printer tray.

  • Correct template and paper format
  • Accurate payer and payee information
  • Expected check number
  • No clipped or overlapping fields

Printer settings

Select actual size or 100% scale and confirm portrait or landscape orientation. Use the correct tray and disable automatic scaling options that change the template dimensions.

After the test print

Hold a plain-paper test over the check stock and compare field placement. After printing on check stock, inspect the MICR line, amount, payee, date, and signature area before issuing the check.
